Giving and Gift Aid

Giving

The work of our 3 Churches Benefice relies completely on donations, but what would really help us is a regular standing order donation, with Gift Aid where possible.
We can help you set up a standing order to the Benefice or to individual churches. Please contact the Benefice Administrator using the contact form and we will help you with the next steps.

Gift Aid

If you are a UK taxpayer, donating through Gift Aid means we can claim an extra 25p for every £1 you give. It will not cost you any extra.

If you would like to donate through Gift Aid and require a Gift Aid declaration form, please contact us.

St Margarets’ Parish Church Project Works

St Margarets’ Parish Church (St Mary the Virgin) is in need of some important repair work. It will involve the removal of cement render and pointing to both the east and west end elevations; repointing and rendering; and extending the existing drainage channel. The total quoted cost of the project will be £42,894.21 and the works will be carried out by Universal Stone.

Furthermore, the organ (originally a concert organ) was converted to barrels around 1851. It is the only Allen barrel organ to survive its original mechanism. With this in mind, we recently applied for a listing of the organ and can now report that we have been awarded Grade 1 listing. Unfortunately, the organ is in need of restoration. We have been able to secure a quote for £5000 and although we have a little money towards it we are praying for donations to meet the total cost to enable this work to be carried out

If you are able to make a donation towards these vital repairs and restoration, the bank details are as follows:

  • Bank: Nat West Bank
  • Account name: St Margarets Project
  • Account: 26487098
  • Sort code: 60-11-11

St John’s Church Heating Replacement Fund

The heating system at St John the Baptist Church is only 40% efficient and needs replacing to reduce both energy costs and our carbon footprint, as well as making the church warmer during cold weather months. We need to raise about £10,000 to allow us to replace the system with something less costly and more effective.

Please help us to renew the heating system at St John’s Church by making a donation to our Heating Replacement Fund. Payments can be made to the following:

  • Bank: HSBC
  • Account name: G A with St. M PCC General Fund
  • Account no. : 31187619
  • Sort code: 40-24-21
